Vermonters for a Clean Environment (VCE)

Measuring the Health Impacts of Electromagnetic Radiation in Vermont

Evidence suggests that electromagnetic radiation from wireless devices, electric vehicles, infrastructure in our homes and environments poses a threat to biological life. As this technology expands, it is critical that radiation levels are monitored and regulated, that Vermonters be informed of the risks and dangers, and that the public has an opportunity to make their voices and concerns heard. With funding from FCL, VCE Community and Environmental Health Director Alison Despathy will lead four initiatives to:

  1. Collect and monitor electromagnetic radiation levels throughout the state of Vermont.
  2. Develop a statewide education campaign about the dangers of electromagnetic radiation.
  3. Author a detailed report, proposing a plan for responsible public policy around electromagnetic radiation in Vermont.
  4. Advance this issue to the forefront of public policy, through education, advocacy, and organizing.
